Atigun aka “Gunny”

Atigun is named after the highest mountain pass (4,739ft) in Alaska, Atigun Pass. Located in the Brooks Range, Atigun Pass is where the Dalton Highway crosses the Continental Divide. It is the only pass in the Brooks Range that is crossed by a road. The 414 mile Dalton Highway will take you to the Arctic Circle and on to Prudhoe Bay. If you want to get to the top of the world, Atigun will take you there!!

 

Maclaren aka “Mac”

Denali Maclaren is named after Maclaren Summit at mile 37 along the rugged and remote Denali Highway. Maclaren Summit sits at 4086ft elevation and is the second highest mountain highway pass in Alaska. Denali Highway is a 135 mile stretch of historic roadway, mostly gravel, that runs between Paxon and Cantwell. The route boasts amazing views of the mountains and glaciers of the Alaska Range, mighty streams and wildlife like caribou, moose and bears.
